Size of Zoobie Pets

Zoobie Pets come in 3 sizes: baby, regular & jumbo.

Above is a photo of the regular sized hippo and the baby hippo Zoobie Pet. The regular sized zoobie is about 15" long while the baby zoobie is about 11" long.
Most regular sized zoobies measure approx. 15" x 6-7" wide x 6". The 6" measurements is the body measurements-the feet will add to it a bit.
There are a few Zoobies that are a bit larger. The giraffe and croc are both longer. The giraffe is about 18" long while the croc from tail to nose is about 30"--while the body (not including the tail or the nose) is about 12" long.
The baboon is larger altogether. He measures approx. 15" x 7-8" x 7". He has long arms that are a couple of inches thick in places.
The bumblee, tortoise and ladybug have a different body shape than the others. Their body appears shorter and more round. They measure approx. 15" x 8" wide x 5".

Baby Zoobies
Baby zoobies are quite a bit smaller than the regular sized zoobies. They measure 10"-11" x 4-5" wide x 4". The baby croc is approx. 18" long from the tip of the tail to the nose--the body alone measures approx. 8" long.

Jumbo zoobies are quite large. They measure approx. 25-30" long x 10" wide x 7" tall. They are too big for children to carry around but would make wonderful pillows for TV rooms or bedrooms where they dont need to be carried around.

Zoobie Pet Care Instructions

Zoobie Pet blankets are machine washable and dryable. The blankets are easily removed by unzipping them from the animal. Simply wash the blanket with similar colors in your washing machine and then tumble dry. I have washed my children's zoobie blankets numerous times and they look and feel the same as the day I bought them.
Until recently I had not washed the animal part of the Zoobies. I had heard stories of the stitching coming out if the animals were washed so I always assumed that the animals were only surface washable. The Zoobies website suggests only spot washing but they also recommend that if a machine washing is needed be sure to put the zoobie in a lingerie bag. My children have had their zoobies for several years--they have been taken on family vacations and camping trips. They have been played with inside and out and, frankly, I couldnt take it anymore--I had to wash them! I believe I washed the first on a delicate cycle with a few other things and it turned out fine. I got braver with the second and washed it in a normal cycle with some blankets or sheets but with a reduced spin setting. [I have a front load washer that allows me to adjust the spin cycle.] I have washed 2 more this way and all look great. I did not dry them but laid them flat on my laundry room counter to dry. They look new again!

As school approaches I have been thinking about products that help parents and teachers alike. There are a few that come to mind.

Utah Baby Guide is a free online baby magazine. It is created in Utah and some of the articles have local information but there are some good articles on baby, pregnancy, cool baby products, etc. You can find the magazine at http://www.utahbabyguide.com/.
I enjoy baking, especially treats and baked goods, but I also enjoy baking bread. I have been looking for the perfect recipe for a while. The july/august issue has a bread recipe that I am excited to try. I will let you know how it turns out.

What is a Zoobie pet?:

The blankets are surprisingly big! They measure approx. 36" x 66" and are made of cozy fleece. The blankets can be unzipped from the animal for washing. The blanket is machine washable. I have washed my children's zoobie blankets several times and they still look new. However, the animal part of the zoobie is surface washable only. I do not recommend washing it in a machine. If you must I would wash it on a hand wash or delicate cycle.

I like the small size of the baby zoobies. They really are a great size for infants and toddlers. At first, I was hesitant about the small size of the blankets. My children love to wrap up in their zoobie blankets and the baby zoobie blankets aren't big enough to do that with. Then I spoke with a customer who was looking forward to the smaller blanket. Her daughter loves her zoobie blanket and has to take it everywhere. However, the blanket is a little big to take to day care and/or drag around while running errands. The baby zoobies smaller blanket may not be big enough for a 2 or 3 year old to wrap up in but it is the perfect size for little ones to drag around and snug with.

Jumbo Zoobie Pets

I love these undershirts. They stay in place very well...as long as you have the right size. The first one I tried was a bit big and it slid around a bit. Microbeads in Zoobie faces

I recently had a customer ask about the microbeads in the zoobie pets faces. She asked if they are in bags and then placed in the faces or if they are just loose in the faces. I thought this was a very good question and spoke with Zoobies to find out the answer. I was assured that they are double bagged and that the stitching on the faces is very strong. It would take a lot of work with something sharp to get through both layers. I am glad that Zoobies is attentive to little details that help make their product safe for children of all ages.

Cute Girls Twin Sized Quilt

I am really excited to announce Little Angel Baby's first quilt. This gorgeous quilt would be perfect for a little girl's room. It fits a twin sized bed perfectly but could be used as a wall hanging as well. This is a one-of-a-kind quilt. There is only 1; when it is gone..it is gone! This quilt was made with such care and expertise. It is garden themed and features flowers, bugs, rocks, etc. It was machine pieced and machine quilted. There are so many details from the shapes of flower petals..to a gray square that looks like gravel..to the swirls throughout. Everytime I look at this quilt I find something new. Pictures do not do this masterpiece any justice. It was made by a wonderfully talented quilter, Viki Martineau. She has been making quilts for years now.
Be sure to look closely at the quilting details. Can you see the quilted petals of the pink flower..or the wings and body of the blue butterfly.

Look closely at the quilting details..the swirls, the flowers, the hearts, the borders, etc. What a cute green minky caterpillar!! The buttons on the flower add a nice touch and give more dimension to the flowers.

Can you find the gravel? The gray square has been quilted to look like gravel and their is a green weed sticking out of the gravel!! What little girl wouldn't want such a fun quilt on their bed!!?

The above photos shows the borders of the quilt. The green border is quilted with leaves. The red border is quilted with swirls. It is quilted in red thread. You can also see the red swirl quilted border on the back of the quilt. I thought this was a neat touch..something most wouldn't think of. The white flowered border is quilted with flowers.
The below photo shows part of the back of the quilt. This red flowered fabric is the backing of the quilt. You should be able to see the red swirl border I just spoke about as well.This shows the quilt on a twin sized bed.
